One Vine Street London W1J 0AH United KingdomDescription
A UNICEF projection states that by 2050, the African population will grow to 2.4 billion people, with most under age 35. In order to serve this population, underdeveloped regions will need critical innovations in healthcare, education, agriculture, and technology—along with help from social entrepreneurs and investors to scale those efforts.
On October 10, hear from Chicago Booth alumni already operating in East Africa as they share a broad-scale view of entrepreneurship in the region, as well as insights about the future of social entrepreneurship and funding with an eye for impact in emerging markets. This London event is cohosted by Chicago Booth's Rustandy Center for Social Sector Innovation and Patron Capital Advisers LLP as part of the Patron Greatness Lectures Series.
The event will also feature a brief summary of the Rustandy Center's work from Christina Hachikian, AB ’02, MBA ’07, executive director of the Rustandy Center and adjunct associate professor of strategy at Chicago Booth.
